insomniac the sun sets
and the lights dim
and everything falls quiet,
but
not my thoughts.

they roar and scream,
each one begging for attention
and
refuse to sleep until the 'morrow.

focusing on one thing
just makes them mad,
and trying to forget
causes more than a few problems.

toss and turn,
blankets in a knot.
the question of sanity
always linger.

the sun rises
and the alarm clock
sings its early morning song.

A Tribute to Edgar Allan PoeToday (well at least according to US time zones) we celebrate the bicentennial of Edgar Allan Poe, the famous American poet. He was born as Edgar Poe on January the 19th of 1809 in Boston, Massachusetts. His middle name Allan was given to him by his foster family, who took him in, when he was a little child. As for the rest of his life's story, I would like to recommend you to read the encyclopedia entry Edgar Allan Poe and to have a look on the website of the Poe Museum, because they provide the relevant information in a far more elaborate style than I possibly could achieve.

Hello.

I'm Sabachka. I'm 20 years old and most days, I have a hard time finding the energy to get up and go to work.

Anyway, I write mostly. Poetry, fanfiction, rants, reviews. Anything my muses feel the need to force me to write.

I don't complain.

I also take photographs. Photography is probably my biggest hobby outside writing. It's relaxing.

So, that's a little bit about me. Enjoy my writings and photos.
